The 2024 Dallas Amateur Championship Presented by OMNI Hotels & Resorts was a resounding success, drawing nearly 600 golfers across five qualifying rounds hosted at the picturesque Cedar Crest Golf Course. From this impressive field, only the top 118 players advanced to the championship round at the world-renowned Trinity Forest Golf Club.
The tournament featured five divisions: Men's Open, Men's Senior, Men's Net, Women's Open, and Women's Senior. Each division battled it out for the coveted first and second place titles.
In the Men's Open division, SMU’s Ryan Burgess emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional talent and poise under pressure. Kendrick Vinar delivered a commendable performance, securing the runner-up position. The Men’s Senior division saw John Donahue claim the championship title with an impressive -7, while Scott Wagoner finished as the runner-up.
Trent Groth successfully defended his Men’s Net title from the previous year, demonstrating consistent skill and strategic play for a total of -6. Michael McNett put up a strong fight, earning the runner-up spot with a close -5. In the Women’s Open division, Elisabeth Rau emerged as the champion, displaying impressive talent and determination. Makenna Henry showcased her skills, finishing as the runner-up. The Women’s Senior division was won by Anna Schultz, with Leslie Henry securing the runner-up position. We congratulate all the participants for their outstanding performances and sportsmanship.
