Join our I AM an Intern Program at Cedar Crest Golf Course in Dallas, TX! Our program provides paid internships to local high school and college students and an opportunity to gain real-world work experience while pursuing their education. Our intern program focuses on developing core competencies for any career path our young interns decide to take. Our interns are assigned tasks and projects that test their skill development process.
Our program is perfect for youth and young adults interested in developing a career in Business (General Business Management, Marketing, or Accounting), Golf Course Management, Sports Management, Retail and/or Merchandising, or Event Management. However, regardless of an intern's career aspirations, the I AM a Golfer Internship Program is open to anyone ages 16 to 24 looking to gain work experience and develop skills necessary to succeed in any career field.

Assist with onsite registration and check-in for players, VIP guests, spectators, and event attendees.
Assist with volunteer management, including creating volunteer schedules and assignments, training volunteers, and ensuring coverage for various event areas (e.g., parking, check-in, hospitality).
Assist with post-event data collection and reporting for future improvements.
Prepare and distribute event materials such as brochures, badges, and itineraries.
Assist with monitoring on-site logistics such as crowd control, signage, and parking, and player transportation.
Work with the marketing team to promote auxiliary events through social media, email campaigns, and on-site signage.
Term of Internship: Fall: October 21 - TBD
○ Assist with tournament services which include; cart staging, printing of scorecards, rule sheets, and cart placards, banquet room setup and break down, setup and breakdown of TVs and speakers as needed, course setup and breakdown, and scorekeeping.
○ Assist with outside services which include; setting up and breaking down driving range, picking and refilling range balls, cart cleaning and staging, starting players off the first hole, resetting the practice area by collecting range buckets, and picking golf balls off the chipping and putting green.
○ Succes for this intern includes: Securing sponsors, management of other interns, providing training for other interns, and assisting with program operations.
Assist in creating and executing digital marketing content to promote the tournament and events across social media platforms (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, etc.), including graphics, videos, live updates, and stories.
Assist the marketing team in writing and scheduling posts, email campaigns, and blogs, and newsletters.
Assist with capturing photos and videos that align with the event’s marketing strategy.
Assist with monitoring and analyzing marketing campaigns, providing reports on performance.
Assist with coordinating with the media team for live coverage of the tournament, ensuring that highlights and player stories are shared in real-time.
Engage with players, coaches, families, sponsors, and fans to increase event visibility and excitement.
Support the coordination of auxiliary events, including organizing guest lists and assisting with set up and breakdown.
○ Other tasks include: Assisting with setup and breakdown of special events.
